A Guide to Spiritual Growth

The three most important building block values to remember are:

1. Self Awareness

2. Higher Consciousness

3. Spiritual Growth

Each of these building blocks when developed blossoms in their life and brings an abundantly beautiful and vibrant harvest as we walk towards life with a new and profound energy.

What is Spiritual Growth?

Do you have any belief system that limits you and creates fear because you don’t know how to develop spiritual growth? It was something we were taught as children, and through repetition of this belief system it grows. A belief system can be compared to an addiction….once an addiction is released all addiction related behaviours wither away. The foundation of control is our beliefs however, and it is possible to control our beliefs, and be the master of our emotions, rather than our emotions controlling us.

How to Develop Spiritual growth

Practice identifying your true values, this is what is important to you and what determines what you will or will not do in life. When you can identify your true values and accept this as a part of yourself, choices will become clearer for you and a new positive energy can be realised.

Our feelings are universal, so by being aware of your feelings, and allowing yourself to feel all the feelings that arise when doing something will allow you to go deeper into an emotional state of quiet acceptance without judgment. This signifies the highest awareness and allows the dialogue between body, mind and spirit to flow without static limitations.

Some people would say we are our habits, but if we are so attached to our habits, why do we want to drive our lives doing the same habitual things year after year. To develop our feelings and emotions we are going to be force into new places and where the task of change is uncomfortable, but liberating.

Why do we feel certain ways?

Our feelings are a result of the way we deal with the world around us. When a situation in our life presents itself we respond accordingly and because we respond this way, the feeling appears as a natural reaction. For example, most of us are accustomed to responding to a certain kind of “fear” in a certain situation in our daily lives, such as looking down on people who are speaking to us by either shakes our heads, or turning away with raised energy. However, this kind of response centuries ago wasn’t appropriate or comfortable for our world in that day, and so the method of confronting later this fear didn’t end up as one of our cultural habits and, like most people in that day went unrecognised and continues to be stamped into our adult psyche as a sort of national “wisdom”.

So my message to you is don’t get more rigid and more fixed into ideas already, look around you for what inspires you and allow yourself to see all the wonders that exist within and around you. This is one of the most basic and also easy techniques for developing spiritual growth, it’s a way to allow you to allow your authentic self to shine through a little.

How to get the most out of life

Be yourself…it is simple, non destructive and easy, you don’t have to do anything more that just be yourself. It is very common to just take drugs or drink or engage in some other addictive activity and simply forget about your feelings because you don’t want to feel anything, this however, only creates an addictive cycle and continues to break your cycle of living. There is no magic or one size fits all approach to your life and all you need to do is follow your heart and go with your feelings.

Love yourself unconditionally without expectations of anyone else. Always allow for the possibility that you may not have control over what occurs in your world, but that you can choose to take responsibility for your reactions to life experiences and journey within with awareness.

The purpose of life is to be happy and that does not mean being “perfect” or having life all “perfect”, it means appreciating life and all it has to offer you in every moment. It means very simply living life as it is meant to be lived, with an attitude to full acceptance…acceptance that you are who and how you are and be content with that.

Last Words

Being in your true spiritual power means accepting all the amazing experiences that life has prepared for you and being OK with those experiences…not given in to the dreaded “woe is me” phase in your journey. It means simply allowing yourself to be OK with everything that you have experienced in your life, and being OK with yourself right now.

What are you feeling right now? Are you feeling sympathy, guilt or anger? Are you allowing giving yourself as much as you are? Many people are still not comfortable with themselves, and to give yourself permission to be honest with yourself is to be OK with yourself.

I hope this helps you understand the difference between disempowering beliefs and empowered past.

Good luck on your journey!
